The Atlanta-Fulton Foundation gave Offset the Legacy in Hip-Hop award for his community and artistic contributions. During the 50th Annual Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Heritage Dinner celebration the 31-year-old Atlanta rapper accepted his award in an all black tuxedo.

The 2023 annual Heritage Dinner for the Georgia Black Caucus was held at the Georgia International Convention Center. The Heritage Dinner was founded to fellowship and celebrate Georgia business and community leaders. Recently in December 2022 Offset was awarded the key to the county while hosting his annual toy giveaway. The Mayor of Lawrenceville, where Offset is from attended the event.

The former Migos member was recognized by the Atlanta-Fulton Foundation board members for his work beyond music. The foundation also requested Takeoff to continue to give of himself for the betterment of the community.

Offset influenced the culture when he first popped out on the rap scene with his Migos band members. The trio were at odds at the untimely loss of Takeoff. Takeoff was killed outside of a J.Prince party in Houston, Texas. A dice game got a little heated and shots were fired. Takeoff was stuck by a stray bullet unfortunately.Since the fetal shooting there has been words exchanged between J.Prince and Offset over the internet as I have kept you up on the details.

Recently Quavo released new music video for his single, "Greatness". On the track Quavo mourns the loss of Takeoff and reflects on the memories they shared. He also acknowledged the impact they made as a group, but on the flip side the song eludes to the end of the Migos. Quavo also released "Without You" expressing his feelings after Takeoff's passing
