Tory Lanez Hires Suge Night's Lawyers

On December 23 A jury of Tory Lanez peers found him guilty on three felony charges. Tory was on trial for a 2020 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Harris. The charges were assault with a deadly weapon, an unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

I previously reported on Dec. 23rd Tory's father was escorted out of the courtroom once the verdict was read. Mr. Sonstar Peterson called the judicial system "wicked" and then turned to prosecutors and called them both "wicked evil people".

Tory was detained immediately once guilty verdict was read. Since he has hired a new legal team to represent him at his next court date. Tory's hired David Kenner, Suge Knight's former lawyer. The hiring of his new legal team has caused the sentencing t be pushed back a month. Meghann Cuniff, who is covering the case closely reported Tory's new lawyers are "preparing to ask the judge to grant him a new trial."

Tory's new lawyer David Kenner spoke with press following the brief court appearance. Kenner expressed his enthusiasm to litigating the motion for a new trial. Kenner is known for representing high profile cases in the past. He's represented Suge Knight, Snoop Dog and Tupac.

There could be more delays in court dates moving forward. Updates will be provided here.
