Fulton County Judge Ural Glanville postponed Young Thug's RICO case, along with the rest of the co-defendants of YSL. As I have been keeping you updated on the YSL RICO trial the new delay of many is following the stabbing of one of the other co-defendants. Court was recessed until the following morning.
The next time Thug stepped in front of the Judge Glanville he spoke candidly,.... "Let me go ahead and tell you where we are," Judge Glanville announced to the jury. "Remember yesterday we recessed because one of our participants had a medical issues and I was telling you about that? Well, unfortunately, that medical condition still exists. Given the length of time that we will probably address that, it might be just more prudent to recess you. An early recess. Instead of recessing you this Friday as the Court's plan was originally, I'm gonna recess you for the holidays, today."
Following the court's decision a billboard in support of Young Thug popped up in Times Square, this week. The larger than life billboard is featuring the phrases "Truly Humble Under God," and “Free Jeffery.” The entertainment company, TSX, takes credit for its placement in the advertisement.
The YSL RICO case will pick back up January 2nd after the holiday season.
When the racketeering and gang conspiracy trial of Jeffery Williams, began on Nov. 27 in Fulton County Georgia the rapstar had been in jail already for 567 days.
Lead by District Attorney Fani Willis’s creative use of Georgia RICO Statues to convince a grand jury there is YSL; which she interpreted it as a violent street gang and former President Donald Trump; in a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 Presidential elections. Willis has vowed her commitment to getting rid of individuals that commit violent crimes in her city and hide behind their celebrity power. She basically called out rappers and their lyrics.
Prosecutors say that Young Thug’s YSL, or Young Slime Life, is a subset of the national Bloods led by Thug, who ordered and oversaw violent crimes including murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, witness intimidation and drug dealing. Thug has pleaded not guilty and denied all of the charges.
He was initially charged alongside 27 associates, but after a slew of guilty pleas and severed cases, he is now standing trial with five individuals.
“Truly Humble Under God,” is an acronym for “Thug” name. His attorney, Brian Steel explained to the court during trial. "T.H.U.G.' has a special meaning to Jeffery his lawyer shared.
