Nicki Minaj is canceling her highly anticipated 2026 album — and maybe her entire career.
She tweeted, "Ok I’m not going to put out the album anymore. No more music." She tagged JAY-Z and added, “Hope you’re happy now.” The announcement stunned fans, who’d been waiting for her Pink Friday 2 follow-up since she teased the date “3.27.26.”
Minaj’s tirade quickly turned on Roc Nation and CEO Desiree Perez, accusing them of “begging” her for a tour and mocking Hov's failed Times Square casino bid. She’s claimed before that Roc Nation owes her up to $200 million from the sale of TIDAL. “They don’t want me to put out music,” she wrote. “Me winning makes them feel like they lost.” Her earlier tweet teasing a 2026 release remains pinned.
