Today is Employee Appreciation Day – when employers are supposed to honor their workers. But according to a new survey, 56% of companies say they don’t celebrate it. Companies that do, do so by giving their workers gifts, a free meal, or even a day off – and they do this to express how much they value them. Also, data shows that employers who observe Employee Appreciation Day see 14% increased productivity, 43% better employee engagement, greater employee loyalty, and a 56% drop in employees looking for a new job.
