Born in DC, and raised in Miami Florida, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has officially received enough votes confirming her appointment to the Supreme Court. Just moments ago (Thursday 2:35pm) the full US Senate voted 53-47 in favor of Judge Jackson, thus making her the first Black woman and the first public defender to serve on the highest US court. according to reports Judge Jackson is set to replace Justice Stephen Breyer, who is retiring this summer.
