As many are getting ready for Super Bowl 2022, most are really excited about the highly talked about half-time show which will feature rapper Eminem Kendrick Lamar , Mary J. Blige and Snoop Dogg.
With this all-star line-up it only makes sense to expect to a few dancers, and that's what we will get. However earlier this week the dance community took to social media and expressed their thoughts after finding out that there was a search for "Volunteer" dancers for the half-time show. Though more than 100 dancers were confirmed to be paid for their time, others were not okay, that all dancers would not be compensated. According to reports the concerns were heard and "SAG-AFTRA" released a statement stating that 'no professional dancer will be asked to work for free.'

"SAG-AFTRA and the producers of the Super Bowl Halftime Show have met and had an open and frank discussion, and have agreed that no professional dancers will be asked to work for free as part of the halftime show. SAG-AFTRA will be advising our professional dancer members that they should not be rehearsing or working on the Super Bowl Halftime Show without compensation.
"It is important to note that Roc Nation had always contracted for 115 paid SAG-AFTRA professional dancers as part of the stage show. We are grateful to Roc Nation, their producer and in particular our member Jay-Z, for their collaboration and commitment to professional artists.
"As a union, we believe all working participants should be paid and compensated for their labor.
"And, like millions of Americans, we are looking forward to this seminal moment in hip hop history." Click Here
