So we all know by now, sadly that when we hear of really interesting and eye squinting situations and or stories they are typically from the great sun-shine state also known as Florida. Today's findings in South Florida involve a man identified as Michael Van Nostrand, who is now being convicted of smuggling turtles. Yes! According to reports when trying to smuggle the turtles to Japan, and other locations, he labeled them as being "caught and bred in captivity" which many say is not true, they were in fact wildlife. NBC6 reports that Van Norstrand is now being charged with "conspiring with others to illegally traffic wildlife." If convicted he can actually face up to 5 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
