With the pandemic still prevalent in the United States and other countries, now more than ever the need to bring more attention to suicide prevention is necessary. Studies show suicide accounted for 1.3% of all deaths worldwide, making it the 17th leading cause of death in 2019. Sunday, September 5 through, Saturday, September 11 is recognized as 'suicide prevention month' and community partners are doing what they can do help.
This week The Dr. Brandt Foundation and the city of Miami Dade with Mayor Cava along with various partners spoke about the importance of the 'suicide prevention campaign.'
