If you plan on speeding on the Florida highways, think again because there is a full operation underway. As of today the Florida Highway Patrol is teaming up with 4 different states to put into place what is being called "Operation Southern Shield." One of the goals of this operation according to reports is to force drivers to slow down and adhere to the speed limit to lessen serious injuries and or deaths. Reports have been made that there have been a rise in fatal accidents due to high speed drivers on the highway. Word is there are even eyes in the sky tracking the speed so if you see a highway patrol officer pull you over, they might have caught your speed from the birds eye view. The 4 other states teaming up include; South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia.
"Operation Southern Shield," is said to be in effect now until July 24th, 2021.
