This weekend a number of events will be taking place in honor of Juneteenth, a day celebrating freedom and emancipation and learning about an essential part of American History. Though many are hoping Juneteenth will soon be recognized as a National Holiday, that is not stopping communities and major organizations from celebrating as one now. Hear from Don Wiggins from the The Wiggins Agency, about a major celebration happening this Saturday, that is in partnership with Old Dillard Foundation and presented by the Florida Panthers Foundation.

Where: Joseph C. Carter Park. This fun-filled family day, also known as Juneteenth, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans through educational resources and entertainment for all ages.
