Where To Sign Up For The COVID-19 Vaccine

With many across the United States anxiously waiting to receive the COVID-19 vaccines, local and state officials continue to set up new vaccine sites. Here are a list of locations that some are able to set up an appointment. According to https://www.browardcovidvaccine.com, "vaccines are free, it’s for anyone age 65 and older regardless of residency, and a photo ID and pre-registration are required."

***Palm Beach County has no drive-through sites yet. After its phone system died, the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach is accepting COVID-19 vaccination requests only through email for the near future. Those who are 65 or older should emailchd50feedback@flhealth.govwith their name, phone number and date of birth to set up a vaccine appointment. Vaccines will not be given without an appointment.

***Tradewinds Park, 3600 W. Sample Road in Coconut Creek; Vista View Park, 4001 SW 142 Ave. in Davie; and Markham Park, 16001 W. State Road 84 in Sunrise.

***Holiday Park, at 1150 G. Harold Martin Drive in Fort Lauderdale, will open Thursday, and after a brief stop-and-start, Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium, 3700 NW 11th Place in Lauderhill, will reopen Friday to seniors.

***Miami Dade County will take appointments on the website beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday and the vaccines will begin to be administered on Friday at Tropical Park. The website is also available in Spanish at miamidade.gov/vacuna and in Haitian Creole at miamidade.gov/vaksen.

***Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens will open Friday as a state-run drive-thru vaccination site- this is by appointment only! Details will be released soon.

***Holy Cross Health in Fort Lauderdale said to be “very limited number” of seniors who are already among its “patient base,” said hospital spokeswoman Christine Walker. Updates at www.holy-cross.com/covidvaccineor call 954-267-7600.

***Jackson Health System, Miami-Dade County’s public hospital network, vaccines for seniors; the Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center, 1611 NW 12 Ave. in Miami, Jackson South Medical Center, 9333 SW 152 St. in Miami and North Dade Health Center, 16555 NW 25 Ave. in Opa-locka.
