Some students at Norte Dame unfortunately now have conflicting emotions after attending a recent football game. Notre Dame was victorious against Clemson, which was a big win for the fighting Irish. However directly after the win- in great excitement and rush of emotions, footage shows more than 100 students rushing down to the field with masks on. Unfortunately, not everyone was happy about this. Reports have shown that the campus was already experiencing a spike in COVID cases. The fear now is that though classes have ended, students will now go back home and potentially spread the virus to their communities.
Notre Dame President Father John Jenkins notified students the day after that he was disappointed and that exit testing before semester's-end would be mandatory.
