In a recent press conference held by city of Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, the mayor spoke about the raising number of COVID-19 cases in the city. Most recently cases of kids testing positive at a camp site brought up concerns which may have ultimately led to the mayor making the decision to cancel summer camps for the time being.
However- Miami Dade parks have stated that they will continue to hold virtual camps and experiences for children.
More than 100 fines have been issued in Miami to those not adhering to the new rules.
