Though essential workers and expected to only be on the road and or those going out for essential items, road closures are expected throughout South Florida. Traffic volume may be lighter, but that doesn't mean you won't get stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic heading into downtown Miami.
Florida Department of Transportation officials are planning to close up to four lanes of southbound I-95 beginning at the 112/Airport Expressway from 8p to 8a. Two lanes will be closed continuously.
The work is expected to last for about a month.
