While sports fans across the world await for the word on the various sports seasons to begin, baseball fans were not exempt, though talks have come up about some baseball teams playing this year, fans are mourning the loss of well known Yankees Co-Owner Hank Steinbrenner who died in Florida at age 63. Sources say that Hank, suffered from illnesses.
As far as the season goes for MLK according to cbssports.com "Ronald Blum of the Associated Press originally reportedthat MLB and the MLBPA were considering beginning the regular season in Arizona and playing all games in the Phoenix area without fans in attendance. Doing so would allow them to play in Chase Field, home ballpark of the Diamondbacks, and in the many nearby spring training complexes.
MLB is reportedly considering getting this underway as early as late May."
