On Tuesday afternoon Miami residents were nearly in a frenzy after feeling the shocking after effects of the earthquake that hit parts of Jamaica, Cuba and other parts of the Caribbean. Sources confirm the earthquake reached a magnitude of 7.7.
According to www.wcvb.com "The National Weather Service Tsunami Warning Center says waves reaching 1-3 feet above tide level are possible for some coasts of Belize, Cuba, Honduras, Mexico, Cayman Islands and Jamaica.
The quake could be felt strongly in Santiago, the largest far-eastern Cuban city, said Belkis Guerrero, who works in a Catholic cultural center in the center of Santiago."
