Reports are being made today that more than 10,000 teachers will not be showing up to school in Los Angles. Since last year teachers across the United States have been going on strike demanding change. However with in Los Angles this is the first strike within 30 years. With approximately more than 25,000 teachers not showing up to school today, about 1,000 schools would be effected by this strike and about 600,000 would also essentially be effected by the strike. According to reports some of the teachers demands include the following; a raise, more funding, and caps on classroom sizes.
