New Year A Little Bit More Money?

While some are not too excited about the new Florida law, others don't think the .15 raise is too bad. 

Florida law makers have decided to raise the minimum wage from $8.10 to $8.25.  The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is required by state law to adjust each year's minimum wage based on the Federal Consumer Price Index. This year's calculations led to a 1.84% increase.

Though the minimum wage for Florida employees is now $8.25, those who make tips still have a lower rate at $5.23.
