In late 2023, Jonathan Majors was convicted of assault and harassment against Grace Jabbari. His sentencing occurred in April. He avoided jail time but received a year-long domestic violence program and probation. Soon after, Marvel cut ties with Majors, which he called "heartbreaking." Audio from a past dispute between Majors and Jabbari recently surfaced. In it, he seems to admit to choking her. "I'm ashamed. I've never been aggressive with a woman before. I aggressed you," he says. Jabbari replies, "You strangled me and pushed me against the car." Majors responds, "Yes, all those things are under 'aggressed.' That's never happened to me."
During a recent Complex interview, Majors spoke about the audio. He suggested he has done the "work" to address these issues. "I was so grateful that I had done my work. I'm continuing to do my work," he stated. "There were vibrations. Reverberations. But I was happy I'd done my work."
Majors' comments come after confirming his marriage to Meagan Good. They held a private ceremony at their Los Angeles home. "My mother married us. Her mother was there," he told Sherri Shepherd. "I said to Meagan, 'Today might be the happiest day of my life.'"
