Kanye West Surprise Drops Interesting Music Video For "530"

VULTURES 2 is widely regarded as Kanye West's worst album. Its release was chaotic and delayed by several months. When it finally came out, the mixes were poorly done. Kanye made adjustments on the fly, altering the tracklist and adding new songs in response to harsh criticism. However, "530" stands out as a highlight. In this track, Kanye opens up and showcases one of his best lyrical performances in years, complemented by a smooth vocal sample. A music video for "530" has now been released.

One might expect that a song as emotional as "530" would come with a sincere video. Kanye has a history of creating memorable hip-hop visuals, so fans hoped for something fitting. Instead, he surprised everyone. The music video does not feature Kanye or his collaborator Ty Dolla $ign, or any humans at all. Instead, it focuses on puppets and people in cartoon masks.

The video lacks a clear storyline and presents a series of low-quality clips of these puppets and masked figures engaged in random activities. One scene shows a man walking with a bag, while another features a puppet receiving an injection in its nose. The visuals have an eerie vibe, reminiscent of a Twilight Zone episode imagined by Kanye. This is a bold choice for the video. Lyrically, "530" reflects on Kanye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian, discussing her role in raising their children and his worries for their future.

What’s particularly intriguing about "530," aside from its striking visuals, is that it received a video so long after the release of VULTURES 2. Kanye has not promoted the album, and his focus seems to be on preparing for his next solo project, BULLY. It appeared he had moved on from VULTURES, leaving fans uncertain about his intentions now.
