The use of Jamaican slang seems intentional, especially since Kendrick Lamar criticized him for misusing culture. Drake doesn't plan to stop appreciating other cultures anytime soon.
Recently, the attitude of the industry towards Drake has changed a bit. Artists like Metro Boomin and Future appear to have softened their views on him since the Kendrick Lamar feud has calmed down.
