Drake Clowns Haters Who Wished Him "Dead"

It's Drake season again. From the beginning of his career, the rapper has celebrated October as his month. At one point, he even planned to release a special birthday edition of his beloved album, Take Care. However, this year has been tough for him. He's faced more challenges than usual and lost what many call the best rap battle ever. He received negative comments from Metro Boomin, Rick Ross, ASAP Rocky, and Kendrick Lamar. Kanye West even said there were people who wanted to see him "eliminated." In response, Drake wanted to show everyone that he is still in the game. He took to Instagram to share a picture of himself with his mother, Sandra Graham. They are in a club, holding stacks of money. His caption was brief but powerful, making it clear that he hasn't been taken down. He wrote, "They pictured me dead, but that was just imagination šŸ’˜ one more year pon dem." The use of Jamaican slang seems intentional, especially since Kendrick Lamar criticized him for misusing culture. Drake doesn't plan to stop appreciating other cultures anytime soon.

Recently, the attitude of the industry towards Drake has changed a bit. Artists like Metro Boomin and Future appear to have softened their views on him since the Kendrick Lamar feud has calmed down. During a panel, Metro Boomin expressed that he has love for everyone involved, including Drake. He commented that itā€™s just entertainment and he respects all his collaborators. Future also seemed to reach out to Drake on social media. Young Thug, busy with legal issues, tweeted about wanting to make peace. He said, ā€œ@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin, we all bruddas. Music ainā€™t the same without us collabin.ā€ Future even liked the tweet. Drake is expected to attend 21 Savage's upcoming birthday party with Metro Boomin. Hopefully, this leads to more positive moments and fewer conflicts.
