Tyga & Floyd Mayweather Accused Of Violating RICO Act

Tyga, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and The Money Team are being accused of various crimes, including RICO violations, fraud, and breach of contract, in a lawsuit filed by jeweler Leonard Sulaymanov. According to documents obtained by AllHipHop, Sulaymanov claims they have failed to pay for luxury watches and jewelry. His lawyers argue that Mayweather, TMT, and possibly others have engaged in a scheme resembling money laundering, involving the purchase of high-end watches and jewelry without the intention of completing payments. Sulaymanov detailed meetings in 2021 with Mayweather's associate, Jona Rechnitz, where Mayweather allegedly agreed to buy items totaling over $4 million. Rechnitz reportedly made an initial downpayment of $90,000 and later $177,000 before introducing Sulaymanov to Tyga in Las Vegas. Tyga expressed interest in buying a Rolex for $79,000 but reportedly made no initial payments. As time passed without further payments from either side, Sulaymanov chose to pursue legal action.

Sulaymanov's lawyers stated that the defendants take possession of watches and jewelry, insist on receiving formal documents and warranties, ask for repayment terms with upfront cash, and then refuse to pay the full price. In some cases, they even claim the items were gifts due to their celebrity status. Recent lawsuits against these defendants have emerged across the country.
