Big Sean Explains The Charts In His New Album Promo

Big Sean included some intriguing graphs at the end of his recently unveiled album trailer, and he is now clarifying their meaning. As he prepares for the album's release, Sean aims to ensure that everyone shares his perspective. "While creating this album, I experienced essentially the same four emotions," Big Sean states in the video. "I remember one day sitting down to sketch a chart that captured how I felt. I hand-drew it and thought, 'I've never seen a chart like this before.' Eventually, I had it animated. There are four distinct charts representing four different feelings, moods of the album, and emotions I personally experienced. [...] Initially, I felt immense pressure. However, enduring that pressure brought me clarity, enabling me to focus on moments of happiness, though I often returned to that pressure. By drawing these graphs, it truly brought the album to life for me." A version of "Better Me Than You" leaked after Big Sean performed a freestyle on the On The Radar show.

Reports suggest that his verse targets former boss Kanye West, although fans initially interpreted it as directed at Kendrick Lamar. The individual who leaked the track claimed to have done so on Ye's behalf. Sean seized the opportunity presented by the leak to advance his album's release date and initiate the promotional campaign. The album is now set to launch on August 9, with the lead single, "Yes," released on July 19. Keep it locked to 103.5 The Beat for more!
