Kendrick Lamar's First Reaction To Drake's "Family Matters"

On May 3rd, Kendrick Lamar and Drake engaged in a high-profile confrontation. The clash kicked off in the morning when Kendrick released "6:16 In LA" as a response to "Euphoria." Later that evening, Drake retaliated with "Family Matters," a strong track accusing Kendrick of colorism and domestic violence. Shortly after, Kendrick responded with "Meet The Grahams," a diss track alleging that Drake is an irresponsible father and may have ties to sex offenders. This was followed by the release of the upbeat track "Not Like Us" the next day. During an appearance on Bootleg Kev's show, Compton artist JasonMartin revealed that he had direct communication with Kendrick throughout the feud. Martin recounted texting Kendrick after the release of "Family Matters," with Kendrick showing confidence and anticipation for Drake's reaction.

Martin then mentioned that after a brief break, he returned to find "Meet The Grahams" released. Throughout the interview, Martin expressed his admiration for Drake but emphasized Kendrick's superior artistry. He believed Drake underestimated Kendrick's strategic prowess. The outcome of the feud clearly showed Kendrick's intellectual dominance over Drake, leaving Drake's subsequent tracks, "U MY EVERYTHING" and "Wah Gwan Delilah," criticized by reviewers.
