Drake Defends OVO Crew After Deleting Kendrick Lamar Disses

Drake has supported his OVO crew since the beginning, mentioning members by name and lauding their loyalty in hit songs like "No New Friends" and "No Friends In the Industry." However, the OVO team faced challenges during the Kendrick Lamar feud. The Compton rapper targeted the loyalty of Drake's inner circle in tracks such as "6:16 In LA" and "Meet the Grahams." While Drake initially defended against these accusations in his diss track, he revisited the topic in a recent Instagram post. Returning to the platform on June 5, Drake shared images of himself engaging in typical activities, including smoking, drinking, and working on new music. What stood out was his caption, where he clarified that his OVO crew members are not mere yes-men, emphasizing that his Rolex dealer is the only one around him. This response seemed linked to Kendrick Lamar's insinuations in his diss tracks, suggesting that Drake's team might have ulterior motives. Despite wearing a Rolex in the photos, Drake wanted to assure fans that his focus is on having trustworthy individuals by his side. In previous encounters, Drake had refuted Lamar's allegations by suggesting that he fed the rapper misleading information through his crew, who remained loyal to him. Notably, Drake swiftly removed all his Lamar diss posts from Instagram after sharing the "Rolex" pictures.
