Jerrod Carmichael Confesses Feelings for Tyler, The Creator

Jerrod Carmichael shared that Tyler, The Creator referred to him as a "stupid b*tch" after he confessed his feelings for him. During the debut of The Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show, Carmichael discussed harboring a crush on his “best friend” before engaging in a candid conversation about the matter. “I fell in love with my best friend. 1 out of 10, don’t recommend,” Carmichael disclosed during a stand-up segment of the show. “I knew I had to tell him. Things started to feel awkward between us. I had these emotions… So, I messaged him. I remember saying, ‘I know you didn’t ask for this, but somewhere along the way I developed feelings for you, and I don’t know how to deal with that.’ Then I promptly turned off my phone and sought therapy.” Reflecting on the situation, he recounted: “He sent me a voice note. I was so anxious. It was only six seconds... He said, ‘Hahahaha, you stupid b*tch.’ And I'm unsure of what that meant.” Subsequently, Carmichael invited Tyler to accompany him to the Emmys, but his offer was declined.

Eventually, Carmichael brought Tyler in for an open interview to address the unresolved feelings. “It’s because I revealed my feelings for you, and we never discussed it,” Carmichael remarked. “That was, like, strange. I’m not sure if it was simply too uncomfortable to talk about or just... I don’t know. I feel like you left me hanging a bit.” Tyler responded: “I did,” chuckling. “Yeah. I did. And I think I just, like, brushed it off. Receiving news like that and then avoiding it is a way to resist change.” He mentioned that he sees Carmichael as a "brother."
