Kanye West Closes Out Art Basel Week with 'Vultures' Rave

Kanye West, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, held an overnight listening event in Miami following a recent club appearance over the weekend with fellow rapper Ty Dolla $ign. Ye was reportedly heard announcing the record: “It’s called Vultures, and it’s coming out this Friday.”

The “rave” event, featured a number of special guests and followed the recent preview of Ye and Ty’s collab project amid Art Basel festivities.

Offset, Kodak Black, Chris Brown, Freddie Gibbs, Lil Durk, and North West were among those seen (and heard) during the livestream, the general spirit of which was akin to past events of this nature from Ye, albeit with far less of an emphasis on any sort of narrative-driven stage design.

Ye briefly referenced last year's string of anti-Semitic comments, rapping in the track's second verse: “How am I antisemitic? I just f***** a Jewish b****.”

The rapper played clips of his upcoming album with Ty Dolla $ign just after they publicized their 17-track list on Instagram.
