Michael Jacksonโs estate is in a deal worth a possible BILLION Dollars for his music catalog. Sony is looking to buy 50% of the estateโs interest in Jacksonโs publishing, music revenues, the โMJ: The Musicalโ Broadway show, and the upcoming โMichaelโ biopic โMichael.
MJโs estate would never sell 100% of the catalog, but a 50/50 deal would work if they retained 100% management and control of the record.
The deal will become the biggest music catalog purchase in history, surpassing Bruce Springsteen's, who sold his for $500 million to Sony.
