Lil Tjay had a rough day on Monday, Jan. 16 when he was arrested in the Bronx for an alleged weapons violation. It all started when police pulled him over during a traffic stop due to his tinted windows and missing front license plate. Upon searching his Cadillac Escalade, officers found a firearm and subsequently booked him on weapon possession.
Crime in NYC tweeted about the incident, confirming that the now Tjay was taken into custody. The New York Post also reported that four guns were confiscated from the vehicle at 183rd Street and Ryer Avenue. Three additional people in the car were arrested, but only Lil Tjay and two others had criminal possession of a weapon charges. Sources report that he is still in custody as of Tuesday.
Interestingly, at the same time and day of his arrest, Ice Spice was involved in a similar altercation with police. Her companion, Markus Grisham, was taken into custody and charged with criminal possession of a 9-millimeter gun. She, however, was not arrested.
