Jay-Z Going To The Grammys?!

It looks like JAY-Z is gearing up to make a spectacular performance alongside DJ Khaled at the 65th Grammy Awards. The song they are reportedly performing is Khaled's "God Did,” which features a four minute long verse from JAY-Z, where he tells the story of his rise from drug dealer to one of the industry's most successful rappers. The track received three nominations this year, including Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance. Along with Khaled and JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, John Legend and Fridayy may also be joining in on the set.

This appearance is a stark contrast to 2018, when he declined to perform at the show despite earning eight nominations for his 4:44 album. His reluctance to associate himself with the Grammys began in the late 90s when the Recording Academy didn't nominate any of DMX's 1998 albums. He ended his boycott once his wife Beyoncé was nominated for a Grammy for her Dangerously In Love album in 2004.

Apart from JAY-Z, other famous names who are rumored to take the stage at the awards show are Harry Styles and Bad Bunny. The 65th Grammys will be aired live on Sunday, February 5, at the Arena in Los Angeles. Fans are looking forward to what is sure to be an unforgettable performance.

JAY-Z is also helping put together Rihanna’s Super Bowl LVII halftime show next month!

Jay will be organizing the performance set for February 12, as Jay has served as the NFL’s live music entertainment strategist since 2019.
