Yo Check This Out is a segment that puts focus on those who are on the come up, so to top off the first week of 2023, we're gonna shine a light on four ladies who are representin home team with some new flavor.
Zya (@zya333) comes out of South Florida with a soulful sound that takes the mind back to a smoother late 80's to early 90's vibe. Her ability to go from a breathy low tone to rise to a powerfully high scale when the emotions run high shows a level of vocal control that is rare in this area's indie scene. Her single "She Ain't Me" showcases her talents in the simplest of ways, as she beautifully glides over an off time Timbaland styled beat.
Muvas Milk (@muvasmilk) is a local artist who's musical education is worn on the sleeves of her releases, as one can hear her advancing with each song she puts out. A Neo-Soul feel with a modern R&B appeal Muvas Milk is not just a singer on the rise, but also shows the potential to write and produce for others if she so wishes in the future. The waltz feel that paces "Take You There" exemplifies the maturity of her musical ear.
Snifflez (@snifflez) has an understated range that she has only slightly touched on. Although, she keeps her vocals subtle a trained ear can hear that she has the ability to truly push her tone to a range that gives her an ability to step outside of just R&B and move into Pop and even Rock if she so wished. Her single "Love Songz" has an old school Bad Boy feel that keeps her wisely away from the all to OVERUSED Sza style of R&B that's ruling the charts today.
Bianca Jade (@biancajademusic) is a lady who's been making significant moves in the 305. Straight from Miami her releases have notched over six digit streams on platforms across the board. Tapping into a Mariah Carey form of 2000s R&B, Bianca Jade may have the most polished look and sound of just about anyone in the South Florida indy scene today. Her single "Pressure" takes the mind back to a more musical form of what modern R&B had when it began its turn in the late 2000's and focuses on her vocal range that she wields with simplicity as she's becoming a master of her craft.
