In this every other act kinda sounds like SZA days it is a Godsend to hear someone truely flex their musical muscles. Rileyy Lanez takes the common subject matter of modern R&B and gives it poetic prose that is NOT normally found today. "On Us" is an R&B Opus that rises and transforms with every note. This is the kind of sophistication that impresses a true musical ear (namely mine) in a way that most of the current crop of popular singers only occasionally do. This is the kind of R&B that makes a mind sing.
