Kenyon Dixon isn't reinventing the wheel with his single "Getting late," but that's the point. In todays constant revolving mediocrity in R&B, the fact that someone can use the modern template and still sound fresh is rare in these convoluted times. Kenyon's lyrical style is what the modern R&B elite should strive to maintain, but lazily fail to do.
