JAY-Z is granting the wish of a young adult looking to higher learning at the Roc Nation School of Music at Long Island University!
Samantha Samaka, received a $40,000 scholarship to attend the school. Samaka thanked Jay and Beyoncé, as she is the first Black woman from Toronto, Canada to enroll.
“THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MY TUITION BEING PAID,” she tweeted. “I LOVE @BEYONCE & JAY Z! HONORED TO BE THE FIRST BLACK WOMAN FROM TORONTO TO BE ACCEPTED INTO JAY Z’S SCHOOL OF MUSIC.”
Samaka is an aspiring singer and rapper and will be taking courses in the Vocal Performance BM program in Spring 2023. She also received the $10,000 Excellence Award from the Roc Nation School.

JAY-Z joined forces with LIU in 2020 to open the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment. The school gives students an opportunity to pursue undergraduate degree programs in music technology, entrepreneurship, and sports management.
