TikTok is centered in another controversy.
This time, related to Black History Month, as famed Black TikTok creators have called out TikTok, over a Black History Month event hosted by Nicki Minaj. Many of TikTok's most famous Black creators weren't able to get into the event, and for those who were able to attend, they had complaints about non-Black creators being given opportunities to ask Minaj questions over Black creators.
This has taken over TikTok and in response, non-Black creators have come forward, as one man stated that Black History Month is for all to learn about the influences of Black culture, adding that it wasn't just for Black people. That take set off a firestorm of heated posts that are trending, and angry creators are hoping to have another opportunity with Minaj.
The company has yet to issue a formal statement.
