Lil Durk delivered a video for “Blocklist”!
Shmurkioo the Lil Durk impersonator who went viral for walking through a mall pretending to be Durk, caught his attention and was cast in the video. Shmurkioo and Lil Durk are so identical that he effortlessly pulled the role off as Durk.
The song and video pay tribute to Virgil Abloh, as the Cole Bennett-directed video begins with a quote from Virgil:
“Life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do.”
The whole production design was inspired Abloh, including the Louis Dreamhouse, flowers placed in Off-White stores, and Drake’s private jet Air Drake, which was designed by Abloh.
“What Happened to Virgil” closes out with messages paying tribute to DThang, King Von and Virgil Abloh.
Durk cranked up “AH HAAA,” in his medley for his first headlining appearance on The Tonight Show. He previously made a cameo during Pooh Shiesty‘s “Back In Blood” performance, and last month, Durk joined 2 Chainz on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform “Lost Kings.”
Lil Durk had another hit on his hands with "AHHH HA."
He also dropped a new single aimed at YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Taking aim at Youngboy, his baby's mama Jania, and more! Durk's response comes off his upcoming 7220 album, and sparked a reply from YoungBoy, who dropped his latest "I Hate YoungBoy"!
