Happy Birthday J. Cole!

Today is J. Cole's birthday!

Rapper, singer, and occasional professional basketball player, Cole jumped on the scene following the release of his debut mixtape, The Come Up. The Warm Up and Friday Night Lights followed both to critical acclaim. Cole, would signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation and release his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, in 2011. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.

His next album, Born Sinner, also topped the Billboard 200, followed by 2014 Forest Hills Drive which topped Billboard and earned Cole a Best Rap Album nomination at the 2015 Grammys. His fourth album, 4 Your Eyez Only dropped in 2016, and continued his streak of debuting at number one, which he kept on his fifth album, KOD. KOD featured six simultaneous top 20 hits on the Hot 100, tying The Beatles. He dropped his sixth studio album, The Off-Season, this year

Cole his own label, Dreamville Records, alongside his non-profit organization the Dreamville Foundation. Cole has a Grammy for Best Rap Song, a Billboard Music Award for Top Rap Album, three Soul Train Music Awards, and 8 BET Hip Hop Awards, and all five of his albums have been certified platinum.
