Meek Mill, and Kevin Hart, and Philadelphia 76ers’ owner Michael Rubin, are donating $15 million to 110 Philadelphia private and parochial schools that serve low-income students.
Thousands of students in the Philadelphia area will be able to attend schools for the 2022-2023 academic year, as Mill and Rubin’s commitment to give back to communities continues.
In 2020, they established a $2 million scholarship fund to benefit poor children in Philadelphia and Rubin and Mill collaborated with REFORM Alliance to organize a special VIP event for 25 children who have been harmed by the criminal justice system.
During the holiday Meek was at the city's Convention Center to hand out tons of free items including bikes, video game gift cards, laptops, tablets, and dolls.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Philadelphia Sixers partner Michael Rubin, and Roc Nation were involved.
"It’s been a tough year for all of us, but through all the ups and downs, I’ll always do my part to support and give back to the Philly community that raised me,” Meek said. “I remember not having much growing up, so it’s important to use my platform to give back, especially to the families trying to provide for their kids while also dealing with the criminal justice system.”
