Cardi B is hosting the 2021 American Music Awards!
"We wanna party with Cardi, so we asked her to be our host and she said YES! Get ready for @iamcardib as she hosts the #AMAsSunday, Nov 21 at 8/7c on ABC.#CardiAMAs" ABC Network and the show's producers confirmed.
Cardi gushed about her new gig:
"When I received the invite to host the AMAs, I was so excited. I'm ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage!"
The five-time AMA winner has three nominations at this year’s show; including favorite female hip-hop artist and favorite music video and favorite hip-hop song for "Up". This will mark the fifth consecutive year that a Black female celebrity has hosted the American Music Awards.
The last time Cardi took the stage at the AMA's, she made history as the first female rapper to win Favorite Hip-Hop Song twice, with "WAP" in 2020 and "Bodak Yellow" in 2018.
The AMAs will air live, November 21st at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
