He teased "something special" was on the way, and Wizkid dropped a remix of “Essence,” that features Justin Bieber!
The original track, is currently at No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100, and dubbed the "song-of-the-summer" by everyone including Bieber.
"That song has become emblematic of being back outside," CEO/chairman of Def Jam Tunji Balogun, who signed WizKid to RCA Records in 2017, recently told Billboard. "Then, a narrative on the internet started about the song being the song of the summer — and we took that energy and ran with it."
"Essence" appears on WizKid's "Made In Lagos" which features Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, Ella Mai, and H.E.R.
