Moneybagg Yo Is Giving Back To His Community

Ari Fletcher gifted MoneyBagg Yo, 28 acres of land in Memphis, Tennessee.

MoneyBagg Tweeted,

"First thing I’m putting on my land is a community center for my hood,"

MoneyBagg wants to give back to his community, after one of the biggest 2021s in all of hip-hop. A Gangsta's Pain and A Gangsta's Pain: Reloaded, has played a pivotal role in putting Memphis hip-hop back on the map. Memphis is in the midst of a rap renaissance, and MoneyBagg is one of the most important pieces.

Like Young Thug who plans his 100-acre Slime City project in Atlanta, MoneyBagg Yo wants to provide the resources and support his home community.

Earlier this year, Moneybagg Yo kept his momentum from his gold-certified A Gangsta’s Pain, returning with “One Of Dem Nights”!

The video features a guest appearance from Jhené Aiko as a fairy in a suburban home.

A Gangsta’s Pain debuted atop the Billboard 200 earning 110,000 units, and the album currently sits at No. 25 nearly six months after its release.

MoneyBagg Yo recently helped artists like Yo Gotti did for him, by signing Ja'niyah.

For weeks, he teased her and finally, he revealed Ja'niyah as his first female R&B artist.

"I Need Y’all To Welcome @wowjaniyah To Da Bread Gang Family, She A Real Superstar, Talented & Different," wrote Bagg on Instagram.

Ja'niyah was featured on a song with Summer Walker, and she gracefully announced her signing with a lengthy note.

"Yo what?! Thank you so much @moneybaggyo for believing in me and giving this chance to show who I am," she wrote. "I literally just got done crying, it doesn’t feel real, like I used to record in my closet and in the corner of my apartment, I remember writing songs in the strip club at work in strokers. This time last year I was going through severe depression, I felt so empty and alone, and all I had was my pain and music . I had several suicide attempts but god never let me go. I’m so thankful to my friends, cause without you guys I wouldn’t be here. [...] Man CHASE YO MOTHER F**ing DREAMS. I swear, it’s possible, I’m just a girl who watches anime and make music. I’m so excited to share my story. I hope you guys appreciate my vulnerability."
