The Chronic Turns 28!

28 years ago the G-Funk Era was born!

Dr. Dre is widely considered to be one of, the greatest hip-hop icons of all time and where Dr. Dre is concerned, "perfection is perfected is the reason why The Chronic, remains on rotation to this day and some would even call it the greatest album ever made.

The Chronic made songs like "Dre Day," "Nuthin' But A G Thang" and "Let Me Ride" forever hip-hop classics.

Jimmy Iovine heard Dr. Dre's Chronic demos, and was taken aback by Dre's prowess. The album allowed Dre to shake off the stigma of his N.W.A. days and form a new west coast sound that dominated the nation to the degree that it stifled the might of the east coast.

The album focused on the talents of Snoop Dogg who debuted in Dre's Deep Cover track and introduced Tha Dogg Pound, Nate Dogg, and Warren G.

The Chronic is an undisputable classic, that gets better with every passing year. If hip-hop today is considered to be mediocre in production The Chronic is an everlasting example of Genius ihp-hop productions that should be strived for.
