Killer Mike is not in agreement with Georgia's reopening this coming Friday as it potentially is risking lives, so he is opening his chain of barbershops.
The rapper was on "TMZ Live" and said he's concerned about Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp's plan to lift much of the state's lockdown restrictions allowing barbershops, salons, gyms and several other businesses to reopen.
Mike and his wife, Shay, own a string of barbershops in Atlanta, called The Swag Shop, but says they're going to keep all the locations closed.
Understanding the incentives to reopen the shops Mike's concern over the health and safety of his employees and customers outweigh the company's bottom line. African Americans are being impacted by COVID-19 at a high rate, and that's the community he serves.
