Today is Jeezy's birthday!!
From pioneer of trap music to soon to be new proud poppa, Jezzy has had a long successful life.
A former member of the Bad Boy group Boyz n da Hood, Jeezy signed to Def Jam in 2004, and his debut with, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101, which reached #2 on the Billboard 200, selling 172,000 copies in its first week and receiving platinum certification.
Jeezy has released ten studio albums, and, top hits "Soul Survivor" (featuring Akon), "I Luv It", "Go Getta" (featuring R. Kelly), and "Put On" (featuring Kanye West).
Jeezy's also featured on the hit hip hop and R&B hit singles, "Say I" by Christina Milian, "I'm So Paid" by Akon, "Hard" by Rihanna and "Love in This Club" by Usher, which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Jeannie Mai Jenkins and Jeezy are also expecting their first child.
"Jeezy and I have been kind of saving this and hiding this for five months. So, we’re relieved to finally share the news," Jeannie Mai said.
A year ago, she and Jeezy decided that they wanted to try and start a family, after getting married, opting to try in-vitro fertilization.
"We both needed a bit of assistance, especially with me being 41 at the time," she said.
"My entire life, I never wanted children. When I say never, I’m talking a hard-stop never," she said. "Falling in love with Jeezy made me see life differently for myself. Our love is honest, pure, and safe...something I hadn’t felt as a child."
