A felony battery charge has been dropped against singer Chris Brown who was accused of attacking a nightclub photographer in Florida two years ago. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Hillsborough County prosecutors filed a notice Friday to drop the charge. The State Attorney’s Office released a statement saying, “After a thorough review of the facts and information from the alleged victim, our office determined there was insufficient evidence to prosecute.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Back in 2017, Chris Brown was accused of allegedly punching a photographer who was working for a nightclub in Tampa.
The PageSix reports that the club's management team claimed that Chris and his team were upset about the amount of pictures the photographer was taking of them, so they tried to get him to stop. When the photographer refused, Chris allegedly punched him. When the police arrived on the scene, Brown was nowhere to be found.
TMZ released blurry footage of the alleged altercation back in 2017, and it really was hard to tell what was happening in the video. If he had been convicted, Brown would have reportedly faced a maximum sentence of five years in prison or five years of probation. But luckily, the chargers were dropped, and now, the baller is off the hook.⠀⠀
Breezy is scheduled to kick off a tour behind his latest album, Indigo, August 20 in Portland, Oregon.
