Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z came together at Thursday night’s 30th annual GLAAD Awards.
The Carters were presented with the Vanguard Award.
During their acceptance speech Jay spoke about his mother’s coming out story and how her journey gave him the compassion to speak passionately about the LGTBQ+ community, while Beyonce shared a story of her uncle who died of complications due to HIV.
Bey ended her speech with a remix to an infamous lyric: "LGBTQ+ rights are human rights. To choose who you love is your human right. Who you make love to and take that ass to Red Lobster is your human right.”
