NYU is doing something amazing for its Medicine students, by covering their tuition!
Officials have decided this as they know the overwhelming burden that debt can put on ones future. The average debt for last years' class was $184k! Therefore, all students of the School of Medicine will be covered regardless of need, or merit.
This plan will be in place for the current and future students, not covering their room and board, or fees.
“This decision recognizes a moral imperative that must be addressed, as institutions place an increasing debt burden on young people who aspire to become physicians,” said dean of the medical school, Robert I. Grossman.
