The story of Emmett Till is a tragic one. In 1955 Mississippi, Emmett was murdered by a group of white men after a white woman said he whistled at her. He was 14 at the time. Justice was never served. Years later the woman who accused Emmett revealed that she lied and the white men confessed to the murder.
Well just when you though the case was closed, it is being opened again after new information was received. What is this information? We have no idea but it must be something serious for this 63 year old case to be reopened.
The report to Congress in March was sent as part of an annual update to lawmakers made possible due to a law bearing Till's name. The Justice Department, per AP, has not commented on the reopening of the investigation.
