Since Harvey Weinstein has been dealing with sexual assault and harassment cases within the last year, and as a result his production company has taken several hits financially, even filing for bankruptcy.
So much so that they have limited funds to fulfill royalties owed to actors, writers, and producers. Including, the parents of Trayvon Martin to whom the company owes around $150k after they signed a contract to their film and television rights to their book Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin, The Blast reports.
Parents, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin say that they were supposed to recieve the funds after all episodes to the television documentary were filmed, as executive producers. However the Weinstein Company argues that $0 is owed to that deal.
There are several other stars that have filed claims against the company for their dough, including Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Jay-Z, and Eminem.
